Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a gentle, body-based approach that helps you reconnect with yourself, understand your nervous system, and process traumatic experiences.
Unlike approaches that focus mainly on talking about what happened, SE invites you to notice what is happening in your body in the present moment - sensations, emotions, impulses, and patterns. By slowing down and exploring these experiences in a safe and supportive way, you can gradually build more capacity for calm, connection, and resilience.
Somatic Experiencing was developed by Dr. Peter A. Levine, a psychologist and researcher in the field of trauma healing. His approach is based on the understanding that overwhelming experiences can affect not only our thoughts and emotions, but also the way our nervous system responds.
In SE sessions, we work with the body's natural ability to regulate and restore balance. Instead of forcing change or revisiting difficult experiences before you are ready, we move in small steps to create more safety, choice, and connection in your body.
Many people come to SE because they feel stuck in patterns of stress, anxiety, overwhelm, or disconnection. Through this work, you can gradually build nervous system regulation, expand your capacity to feel grounded, and develop a more connected relationship with your body.

What to expect during a Somatic Experiencing session?
Practical information:
A Somatic Experiencing session online or in person lasts approximately 1 hour
Price: 55 EUR
Sessions that include bodywork last approximately
2 hours.
The price depends on the type of bodywork we choose together:
Every session begins with where you are today.
We start by exploring what brings you here and what kind of support you are looking for. If it is your first session, we also take time to get to know your story and together decide what would feel most supportive - working with Somatic Experiencing on its own or combining it with bodywork.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, Somatic Experiencing gently invites you to notice what is happening in your body as we talk. Rather than trying to analyze or relive difficult experiences, we slow down and explore sensations, emotions, and nervous system responses at a pace that feels safe for you.
Some sessions involve gentle movement, creative exercises, or simple grounding practices.
A unique approach
I offer a combination of Somatic Experiencing with trauma-informed bodywork because for many people healing happens through the experience of safe touch. Together we decide what feels most supportive for you. Touch is always optional and guided by your comfort and boundaries. Learn more about combining Somatic Experiencing with bodywork.
Every experience is unique, but many people leave feeling more grounded, more connected to themselves, and with a greater sense of calm and awareness.
